PPC, or Pay-Per-Click Marketing is an online advertising model that is becoming increasingly popular. From the Advertiser’s side, this usually consists of bidding for or buying clicks from an advert which is placed on a publisher site.
These sites will usually display an advertisment when a keyword query, or page theme matches a word on an advertiser’s preferred list of keywords, thus affording some level of targetting for the advertiser.
Who Are The Big Players?
At the time of publishing, the top three PPC providers are Google Adwords, Microsoft adCenter and Yahoo Search Marketing, although Google does lead the market in terms of search volume and content network reach.
